He Knows My Name....

{jane bosi} How incredibly cool is it that the Creator of the entire universe knows your name?  He. Knows. Your. Name.  Dwell on that for just a little bit, my sweet friends!

Isaiah is such a rich book of the promises of God.  It is definitely one of my favorites and often a go to place when I am in need of reminding of just how precious I am, of the fact that I am chosen.  That's an important truth to hold in this overwhelming and often mixed up world!

Isaiah 43:1-3
"Fearnot, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine."

YOU. Are. Mine.

"When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you."

I. Am. With. You.

When you are overwhelmed, He is with you.  He knows your name.  You are not alone.  You are more than your trials, more than all that this world can put you through.  He knows your name, your pain, your strength, your fear, your goals, your heart.  How amazingly, lovely is that?  Are you not quite sure?

Go back to the beginning of Isaiah 42:
"Behold my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen, in whom my soul delights"

My. Soul. Delights.
Oh, precious friends...rest in this truth,
In Him, Jane

Creative Worship: card making!

http://sweetnsassystamps.blogspot.com/2016/07/christmas-in-july-blog-hop-sale.html

Good morning friends!

With near 100 degree temps here, it's time to cool down with Christmas in July! You'll find lots of festive ideas in our Yuletide blog hop today!

This card was enjoyable to create since I thought about each of these special names of Jesus as I stamped them.

Almost all the stamps I used are from the His Name set. I wrote the word "reason" with an embossing pen and the entire sentiment was embossed with white. I can't miss an opportunity to add some glitter - in the form of a sparkly star.

Don't miss the rest of these great blog posts in the hop today! Simply click on their name at the end of the post and you will be taken to their blog. The list will be on each person's blog, so no need to hit the back button. Just look for the next blog in the line-up and off you go!  Please be sure to leave the girls some love along the way. We will be drawing a winner from all of the blog comments and that person will receive a FREE Christmas stamp set (in stock) of their choosing from our line!

P.S. Our entire line of Christmas stamps is 15% off through the weekend with code CMASJULY!

Note: The set I used is in our Bible Journaling line and will not be a part of the sale.

Creator of the Universe

Hello everyone! Today I want to share another page I made with you. This time I used the stamp set 'My Creator'. You might have noticed that I'm in love with the beautiful illustrations from Krista Hamrick ;).

I made this in Nehemiah 9 where the people confess their sins and lift God in praise. There's a large part that explains everything God has done for His people and I thought this image was perfectly fitting with that part.

Stand up and bless the Lord your God. Forever and ever! “Blessed be Your glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise! You alone are the Lord; You have made heaven, The heaven of heavens, with all their host, The earth and everything on it, The seas and all that is in them, And You preserve them all. The host of heaven worships You.

I made a couple of mistakes on this page that I had to cover up, which ended with a wrinkly page ;). I stamped the sentence 'creator of the universe' right onto the page but I smudged it so I had to stamp it again on paper and adhere it in my Bible. The only downside from that was that I closed my Bible too early and that made the part around the paper very wrinkly. But well... I hope it straightens out in time.

Be Held....

{jane bosi}  Happy Tuesday, Sweet Friends!  Today I am sharing a layout I created with my Grandpa on my mind.  Despite the fact that he's been gone for well over twenty years, I still think about my Gramps often.  It seems like yesterday and forever since I've seen him--funny how life is sometimes?

I was thinking about sharing here on what would have been his 100++ birthday and began reflecting on how his passing was really a game changer for me in my walk with Christ.  In this storm, I began to realize that I would find Him, that I could be held, that His promises are all that they say they are....

Acts 27 finds Paul on a boat, in storm, with a bunch of people and more than a boat load of faith in the One who is Mighty to Save.

v.20 "When neither sun nor stars appeared for many days, and no small tempest lay on us, all hope of our being saved was at last abandoned".......keep reading......

v.25 "So take heart, men, for I have faith in God that it will be exactly as I have been told".  READ ON:

v.36  "Then they were all encouraged"....go,  more reading......

v. 44 ..."all were brought safely to land"......

Have you been brought safely?  The storm is a hard place to be.  No doubt about it.  But, my friends, the storm IS where you will find Him.  Keep looking, seeking, searching.  And, allow yourself to just be held.

I used a bunch of goodies from Sweet N Sassy Stamps to complete this layout:  Awesome Thoughts, Note This, Just Be, Outline Alpha, Seek Him, His Wings, and Words of Life 1.

Be Blessed,
Jane

Awesome Blessing

Hello sweet Bible Journaling Friends!  I hope those of you in the U.S.A. had a wonderful 4th of July weekend!  I was fortunate enough to watch a stunning fireworks display from the beach.  While watching the colors burst in the sky, I got to thinking about how truly blessed I am…how truly blessed we all are to belong to the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords!

Happy heavy body acrylic colors were applied to the page using an old credit card after prepping the page with Dina Wakley's clear gesso.  Several Sweet 'n Sassy stamp sets were then used to complete the page:  Amazing Thoughts and Outline Alpha, both from the Creative Worship line, and Happy Happy.  The images on the page were stamped with Jet Black Archival ink and colored with matching acrylic paints.  Highlights were added with a white Sharpie Paint Pen.  Couldn't resist adding a little Washi tape as well!

Enjoy and be thankful for God's Blessings today:

"The Lord bless you and keep you;
The Lord make His face shine upon you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His countenance upon you,
And give you peace."
Numbers 6:24-26 (NKJV)

Hugs,
Cathy

Red, White, Blue and Freedom

Happy long weekend, friends! I'm sharing some patriotic inspiration today, just in time for the fourth of July holiday. I love creating Bible pages that are relevant to current events and that includes vacations, birthdays, and holidays. The fourth of July makes me think about freedom, both freedoms I have as an American citizen and freedoms that afforded to me as a Jesus follower. Here are some great Scriptures to consider journaling this weekend:

Galatians 5:1  “For freedom Christ has set us free; stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to the yoke of slavery.”
2 Corinthians 3:17 “Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.”
Galatians 2:4 “…our freedom that we have in Christ Jesus…”
John 8:36 “So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
Romans 8:2 “For the law of the Spirit of life has set you free in Christ Jesus from the law of sin and death.”

I designed these two pages at two separate times, but used color to unify them! I actually started on the right side first, dwelling on what HE can do through ME.
I (attempted) to draw Rosie the Riveter and added light brown ink in the background for a vintage touch. The left sided page centered around my most recent Outline Alpha set. '
I stamped the words first and then handlettered around them.
Red and blue watercolor make a simple and patriotic background.

Hope your weekend is filled with fun, friends, (thoughts of) freedom & creative worship!

XOXOXO
Rebecca
